OneWest Bank takes many steps to keep your accounts and personal information secure, but you can also assist in protecting the security of your information by taking the following steps:

  • Periodically change your username (select 8 to 32 characters that consist of a combination of numbers and letters).
  • Memorize your password; never write it down or reveal it to anyone.
  • Periodically change your password (using 8 to 32 alphanumeric characters).
  • Use your browser’s security settings and options to help protect the privacy of your accounts and personal information.
  • Remember to sign off when you have finished banking. If you forget to do so, OneWest Bank automatically signs off after the amount of time specified as your “Timeout” period. The default idle “Timeout” period is 5 minutes.
All Online Banking sessions are encrypted. This means your password as well as all personal information relating to you and your accounts are passed through some of the best forms of cryptography available for use over the Internet. If for any reason your secure session ends, your Online Banking session will automatically terminate.
Refer to the Forgotten Password link on the Online Banking login page to reset your password. For usernames, contact the Client Care Center at 877.741.9378.
