Frequently Asked Questions

+How is Apply Pay secure?

Apple Pay's security requires use of the phone's fingerprint authorization, so even if the phone is lost, only the iPhone owner's fingerprint will facilitate the use of Apple Pay. Only the fingerprints you associate with your Touch ID or phone passcode can authorize a payment.

+What should I do if the device is stolen or lost?

You should notify your mobile carrier and also promptly call the OneWest Contact Center number on the back of your debit card (1.877.741.9378). Tell the customer service representative that you added your debit card to Apple Pay, so the Contact Center can disable your debit card for use with Apple Pay. We recommend that you remotely lock the lost device using the Find My iPhone app. The Apple website will provide you more information about Find My iPhone.

+What happens if my OneWest Debit card is lost or stolen?

Please telephone the OneWest Bank Contact Center at 1.877.741.9378 and let us know that your OneWest Bank debit card linked to Apple Pay has been lost/stolen. Your card will be closed, so that no additional purchases can be made. You will want to remove the lost/stolen debit card from the Wallet or the Apple Watch app using the "Remove Card" option.

+What is Touch ID?

The iPhone uses Touch ID to make sure that you are the intended user. Touch ID lets your fingerprint be a passcode. Touch the Home button and the Touch ID sensor will read your fingerprint and unlock your phone.
